Poster submission
Poster submission is exclusive to participants registered at Option 1 – Full Week (until 31st March).
Authors must submit the poster proposal until 6th April 2020.
Poster submission guidelines
1. Abstract submission
Poster submission is exclusive to participants registered at Option 1 – Full Week (until 31st March).
Authors must submit the abstract until 6th April 2020.
Abstracts must be limited to a maximum of 300 words, letter type ‘Times New Roman’”, at 12 points and 1.0 line spacing.
Abstract structure:
- Title;
- Introduction;
- Aim;
- Methods;
- Results and Discussion;
- Conclusion.
2. General information
- Authors will be informed of poster acceptance by e-mail, until 14th April 2020.
- Posters must be written and presented in Portuguese, Spanish or English languages.
- The author presenting the poster must be registered at the Spring School (Full Week) until 31st March 2020.
- Poster selection is the responsibility of the Scientific Committee, with no appeal.
- Posters must be printed for display (Section 6).
- Posters must also be sent in digital format, according to guidelines in Section 4 and 5.
4. Assessment criteria
Work assessment will consider the following criteria:
Poster content (weighting of 80%):
- Introduction (Definition of concepts and background);
- Clear presentation of the objectives;
- Scientific rigour and comprehensibility of methods;
- Conciseness and rigour in the presentation of results and discussion;
- Conclusions (relation to the objectives and implications for Nursing);
- Oral presentation (clarity and argumentative capacity) (weighting of 20%).
3. Poster presentation
- Poster final version must be sent until 30th April 2020 to eventos@esenf.pt.
- The poster oral presentation and discussion is limited to 5 minutes.
- Honourable mentions will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd best presentations.
- Honourable mentions will be awarded only to the authors or co-authors attending the Closing Session.
- Honourable mention award will take place on 8 May 2020 during the Spring School Closing Session.
- Posters not complying with the regulation will be excluded.
- Posters not submitted according to the template will be excluded.
- Poster content is the responsibility of each author and should not be considered for publication elsewhere.
5. Poster presentation format
- Works must be developed with Microsoft Powerpoint® according to the format guidelines sent with work acceptance:
Page: horizontal alignment;
Dimension: standard – screen display 4:3, width; 25,4 cm and height 19,05 cm; - Minimum letter size: title – 24; content – 12 and references – 9;
- The file must be named with the full poster title.
- The poster oral presentation and discussion is limited to 5 minutes.
6. Print and poster display
Posters will be displayed in paper format by the respective author(s);
- Page: vertical alignment;
- Dimension: 80×100;
- A template will be provided.
- Each author must deliver the printed poster at the Secretariat of the vent until 4th May, at 15:00, for display.
Full articles from the selected works will be considered for publication of conference proceedings in a journal indexed in Web of Science, with a publication fee to be determined. The organization will latter inform of the publication process and deadlines.
