Poster submission guidelines

1.1 Poster

Please submit your abstract until 6th April 2020 to:;

Abstracts must be limited to a maximum of 300 words, letter type ‘Times New Roman’”, at 12 points and 1.0 line spacing.

Abstract structure:

  • Title;
  • Introduction;
  • Aim;
  • Methods;
  • Results and Discussion;
  • Conclusion;
  • References, according to APA.
2. General information

Communications must be original and not been considered for presentation elsewhere. Authors must specify the communication topic. The Congress Scientific Committee may suggest a change in topic.

2.1 Authors will be informed of poster acceptance by e-mail, until 14th April 2020.
2.2 Posters must be written and presented in Portuguese or English languages.
2.3 The author presenting the poster must be registered at the Spring School until 25th April 2020.
2.4 Poster selection is the responsibility of the Scientific Committee jury, without appeal.

3. Work presentation
3.1 Poster general information
  • Poster final version must be sent until 30th April 2020 to
  • Each author must deliver the printed poster at the Secretariat until 4th May, at 15:00, for display.
  • The file must be named with the full work title.
  • Posters not submitted according to the template will be excluded.
  • Honourable mentions will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd best presentations.
  • Honourable mentions will be awarded only to the authors or co-authors attending the Closing Session.
  • Honourable mention award will take place on 8 May 2020 during the Spring School Closing Session.
  • Poster assessment criteria:
    • Poster content (weighing of 80%):
      • Introduction (Definition of concepts and background);
      • Clear presentation of the objectives;
      • Scientific rigour and comprehensibility of methods;
      • Conciseness and rigour in the presentation of results and discussion;
      • Conclusions (relation to the objectives and implications for Nursing).
    • Oral presentation (clarity and argumentative capacity) (weighting of 20%).
4. Poster formatting guidelines

Poster formatting:
4.1 Works must be developed with Microsoft Powerpoint® according to the format guidelines send with work acceptance:
• Page: horizontal alignment;
• Dimension: standard – screen display 4:3, width; 25,4 cm and height 19,05 cm;
• Minimum letter size: title – 24; content – 12 and references – 9;
4.3 The file must be named with the full poster title.
4.4 The poster oral presentation and discussion is limited to 5 minutes.

The Scientific Committee will consider the publication of full articles of the presented posters in Revista Rol de Enfermería (according to the journal’s guidelines), with a publication fee of 100€.

Authors will latter be informed of submission deadlines.
