In 2018, ESEP – Escola Superior de Enfermagem do Porto (Nursing School of Porto) organized the Nursing Research Week. The event gathered more than 250 participants, held 60 conferences, 35 projects and 76 oral communications presentations.

The Nursing Research Week included several presentations, with special emphasis on the Conference of Maite Cantos Santamaría on the experience of home hospitalisation in Barcelona; the intervention of Dorota Kilanska presentation on the challenges of nursing research in Europe and Jane Salvage addressing the theme of Nursing Now Initiative.

This event provided an important contribution to the dissemination of research in teaching, research units and clinical practice, with special highlight to the presentation of innovative projects in health.

The Nursing Research Week was attended by participants from various institutions, including the Higher School of Health of Viseu, the Nursing School of São José de Cluny, the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences and the Nursing School of Coimbra.
